It was a casual trip out to KL (on the wrong day), for food! Coincidentally, Daniel's birthday is the day after so besides the dinner we also bought him a cake to celebrate.

While waiting for TJ, YT tried to keep us entertained.
After more than an hour on the road - going through short-cuts and back roads lead by JJ in an attempt to beat the jam...we arrived! Everyone was impressed, what's more - delighted by the sight of food cos we were all starving....

Entrance of Palate Pallete (Jln Mesui, K.L.).

And I, being so greedy ordered a lot. I had chicken chop (it's delicious but too salty for my liking), Chicken lollipops, and fried calamari!

Our food...Spicy Seafood Pasta, Curry Chicken Pot Pie, Fried Calamari, Chicken Lollipops...and the gorgeous mural.

And more food:
Chicken Lasagna, Sundried Tomato Battered Chicken Chop, and our dining table.

And I also stole a mussel from JJ's pasta. He thought he saw me taking something with my hand, but I denied...

My friends were bugging me to finish that bun at the corner cos I took so many pics of it. It was ... the best bun I've ever tasted. We must've been THAT hungry, or it really is good!

They also have very tight security for their toilet:
Five (different types of) locks! And an eye hole.

And after all of us were so full, we had the surprise cake for Daniel. Unfortunately, no nice pics. My camera refused to take Daniel, somehow. However, this is the best group picture we took. I was holding the cam!

We walked to Jln. Alor for a drink. Chatted a while, and we left at half to midnight.

We were caught in a road block for more than 1/2 hr, and Sam totally forgotten about fetching Wen home. We talked about our first year in university - when we just got to know each other, how we knew each other, what we did, what we said, where we went, etc.

Two and a half years have gone by so fast...

Food and labs

So, what's new?

Yes! Since this is about the last semester in university, we have been keeping ourselves as busy as possible...(despite the assignments and reports) out of university. Dinner at my place and Mt. Kiara was just the beginning.

During the week's break, we had pancakes, karaoke session, shopping...

Amsterdam! @ Paddington's pancake. Absolutely. tasty.

We went Maison for TJ's 22nd. Drank, but not drunk. The birthday boy got a little tipsy after he had his brithday flaming...

We had photography sessions in labs too. Haematology; we were just somehow, so captivated by our successful blood film slides. Especially of those by JJ.

Under a microscope at 40x (if I am not mistaken), JJ's basophil (rare leukocyte!) among his RBC [left] and a neutrophil among the RBC [right].

Pharmacology - Mei was just so intrigued by this ileum, she made me record a video of it, moving. She said it's cute. ('Cos it moves).

On Thurs, my sister had a day off from work. So both of us went to Borders, her fav. hangout. I had breakfast there, and not very long after, I was hungry so we headed for lunch at Sakae Sushi.

Cajun Chicken Dome, Green tea, and Chawanmushi......

Of royale mousse choc and yummy food

The other day, dearie and I went Easter bunny hunting from Tesco to Cold Storage. We couldn't find one that fits the concept in our mind's eye... so instead of buying Easter bunnies for my party (the next day), we got distracted/attracted by/to other groceries. Especially I, who bought almost RM150 of groceries.

The party wasn't a very successful one, because to begin with, that day was a disaster. And we were highly unprepared; by the time my friends came, Mom was still cooking. The girls offered to lend a hand, and with their help, the table was set! (and the rest of the party was good!)

The guys was totally engrossed in National Geographic watching other carnivorous animals eating while they eat. They were still glued to the TV after they stuffed their stomachs full:

While Ivan T was (keeping himself) busy reading Chinese newspaper...maybe he's trying to learn how to read Chinese? :O

They bought me cute, beautiful, sweet, deco for my room! The piggy clock and strawberries! The guys, especially Colin, were such good handyman. They put up the clock, the strawberries, and then, he tuned my guitar. And played and sang "more than words".

And then we had ice cream! yum...

Daniel, YT, and JJ ...

Oh, and people! Check this out: MM Wallet. Look out for that girl in pink on top the page.

Summer

What I did during 'summer'. I chopped lady's finger into small pieces like this. Then, pick some out and crush it with a mortar & pestle.
See the smoke coming out..! *sizzzzzle* upon addition of liquid nitrogen... damn cool.

The result: frozen lady's finger!
Add some methanol in, and spin it for a while, then filter it into a bottle. There you go, green solutions! Lovely.
